The article that follows is not “about” ideas. It is pure experience. All the learning and intellectual understanding in the world will not get you one millimeter closer to seeing Egyptian canonical images in motion. It takes an average reader perhaps ten or fifteen minutes just to read through the piece, there to “get the idea” loud and clear, and the result of that labour is—zero.
To learn to see—to experience—the moving images will take the average Westerner as little as an hour or two of practice; perhaps even a bit longer. In this matter, the gap between theory and practice is profound.
For now, gentle reader, ignore theory and go practice…
